Documentary Filmmaker/Founder


After completing his University Degree in directing for Film and Television in Hamburg, Germany, Markus worked as a producer/director for branded content and ran his own production company producing corporate videos for two years. His desire to pursue documentary filmmaking however, led him to Munich, working for renowned TV production company Maximus, and for the next one and a half years he travelled the world as a cameraman and camera assistant, filming many TV documentary programs for local and international channels. Markus has founded Woodboxpictures with the vision of producing and delivering high-end TV documentaries and Factual Entertainment. He has worked in more than 25 countries for clients like Marvel, Disney, Pro7Sat1 Media AG, BR, ZDF and many more. 


Astrid Dominguez



Astrid is a director/producer originally from the State of Mexico, she has lived in Mexico City, Miami, New York and Melbourne, Australia. She holds degrees in analogue photography, Media and Communications and Film Directing and has working experience as 1. AD and line producer for films and commercials.

Astrid started her career as a director in 2014 after moving back to Mexico City from New York. In Mexico, she directed more than seventy commercials.


After one year and a half as an advertising Director in Mexico, Astrid decided to go back to film and keep enriching her education and in 2015 she was accepted into an MFA at the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne Australia, where she graduated with a short film based on the epidemic of gender violence that is currently happening in the State of Mexico.
